Welsh Springer Spaniel

Original Works of art

Group: Sporting
Breed Family: Spaniel

The original land Spaniels were the small white dogs with red patches which were well established as early as fourteenth century in Europe, mainly for use with hawks. All present-day land Spaniels are said to have evolved from these and it is generally accepted that the Welsh Springer Spaniel is the breed most closely related to these early dogs.
