Border Terrier

Original Works of art

Group: Terriers
Breed Family: Terrier

The Border Terrier had its origins on either side of the Cheviot Hills, the hills which form the border country between England and Scotland. Border farmers, shepherds and sportsmen kept the Terrier for it skill in dispatching troublesome foxes. While still a working Terrier, he is for many a show dog and beloved companion. The Border Terrier Club was founded in 1920, the same year that it received recognition from The Kennel Club.
